Let’s Build Ontario

Rob Cerjanec is the Member of Provincial Parliament for Ajax. He’s running to build a stronger Ontario with a growing economy — where hard work pays off, public services deliver, and every family has a fair shot at success.

Meet Rob

Raised by a single mom in a one-bedroom apartment, Rob was given every opportunity through Ontario public schools. That education changed his life and set him on a career of public service.

Today, he’s proud to represent Ajax at Queen’s Park. Rob’s story is Ontario’s story and it shapes everything he believes about what government should do: expand opportunity, strengthen public services, and help people get ahead.

Party Reform

Rebuilding the Ontario Liberal Party starts with how we organize, how we compete, and how we earn trust again.

We need to be present in every riding, support our local teams, modernize our infrastructure, and set clear expectations for how the party operates. That means focusing on the fundamentals — strong candidates, early organization, and a culture of accountability.

Policy Priorities

Across Ontario, Rob is asking a simple question: Is life better today than it was eight years ago when the Doug Ford government was elected? Too Often, the answer is no.

Costs are up. Services are strained. And too many people feel like they’re falling behind.

Rob is a builder and a pragmatist. He believes government should focus on what matters most — making life more affordable, creating real opportunity, and strengthening public services.

ROB’S STORY

Rob’s commitment to fairness, opportunity, and public education comes from lived experience.

Humble Beginnings

Born in North York and raised by his mother, Rob grew up in a one-bedroom apartment in a working-class immigrant family. His German, Croatian, and Maltese grandparents came to Canada after the Second World War, working long hours on farms and in packing plants to build a better life.

Public Service & Education

Rob became active in student government at York University, helped negotiate a major new student centre on campus, and later served as Chief of Staff to Toronto’s Deputy Mayor, Ana Bailão, working on housing, transit, and community initiatives. He then joined the senior leadership team at the Durham District School Board, overseeing strategic initiatives and helping parents navigate the education system.

Standing Up for Ajax

After years of volunteering on campaigns and supporting other candidates, Rob stepped forward to run himself. In 2025, he was elected as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Ajax and now serves as the Ontario Liberal critic for Economic Development & Innovation, and Tourism, Sport & Culture – bringing a practical, results-driven approach to Queen’s Park.
